Well it looks like one or more of us may be thinking of a problem which may affect quite a few drivers STAGGER.I dont confess to know everything but in the 30 years on and off racing career, I know if you get this right it makes a big differance.Yes i,ve only raced a F2 this year on a budget as normal with a locked diff but with the avons we did get stagger, the yokos however may prove more of a difficult nut to crack. With the Yokos seemingly having no rolling diameter differance no matter what width wheel they go on a lsd may be the only costly option. However may i suggest a simple cost friendly way to keep budget locked diff car owners happy. This would be to allow a larger outside yoko tyre (195/70)or smaller inside yoko tyre (185/60)thus allowing stagger and probably avoiding the cost of a lsd. Not mega thought provoking stuff i know but just a plea to keep costs to a sensilble amount.
Due to the increased grip both on front and rear you'll find you wont need the stagger your used to. Only speking from what we have tried
Dave does your car have a locked diff then, if so what rear wheel sizes did you use, cheers Dave.
When we tried both the shale and tarmac car we used both diffs and found no difference in the handling and times. We used 8" wheels on both surfaces
surely the circumference will change when you use different width rims...???
you can get yourself some stagger if you're brave with an airline... read the books brother...
beaks
Read the book and got the t shirt if you read in the forum under new tires hope you see what I mean about tyre circumferance of the yoko ie not much differance no matter what size rim.

so ya telling me the circumference will be the same if the tyre's on a 5.5" or a 10" rim...???
staggered special and matched perfect. you can go around the outside davos, i know it in my heart
