not sure if this is slightly out of turn as am new to this, but anybody that travels from north to northhampton, has a roll over, repairs it just to blow a engine erns some credit from me,

In the last 5 meetings Bradbury has doubled Moodies score, here is a break down. I cant point score the Uk Open Championship Weekend because i dont no how it was scored
Skegness 17/7............7 0pts...........886 32pts
Northampton 19/7.......7 opts...........886 26pts
Cowdenbeath19/7.......7 29pts.........886 0pts
Northampton 20/7.......7 10pts.........886 18pts
Skegness 22/7............7 19pts.........886 30pts
Total in last 5 meetings 7 = 58pts......886 = 106pts
This weeks action is Saturday Cowdenbeath and Birmingham and Sunday Crimond and Buxton.
I would guess that Moodie will stay in Scotland and Bradbury will stay in the Midlands

886 scored 33 points at Skegness on 17/7 (not 32).
7 scored 28 points at Northampton on 20/7 (not 10).
Therefore total in last 5 meetings: 7 = 76 points; 886 = 107 points.
Bradbury now has a 15 point lead over Moodie.
The Euro race is scored as heat points doubled for being a championship race - i.e. 20 points for the winner, then 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 points for 10th. So Moodie's score for his second place is 18 points.

Having read this discusion is it worth pointing out that although cowdenbeath runs alot of meetings, if , for instance 26 cars were to turn up at cowdenbeath they would run an all in format or an abc format, meaning that to achive a maximum score you would need to race four times in the evening, where as at taunton they would probably run a full format meeting hence less races to do in order to score points and more importaintly a double points final. It could be construed that if the main objective was to score points, it would be harder to maintain a level of consistency at cowdenbeath than taunton. This is not a criticism just an observation and i only used this as an example as some may find this interesting.

In a 2/3rds/all in format both heats count scores but the final is only heat points.

Yes i know, i have worded that post wrong, my point is to achieve the same total of points you may have to do an extra race at cowdenbeath compared to taunton. all meetings carry a maximum of 50 points its the way you achieve them that is significant.

Points scored from Birmingham and Cowdenbeath:
7 Gordon Moodie.....44pts
886 Chris Bradbury...31pts
BB_622- 07-27-2008
Think you'll find Moodie scored 64pts last night. Sure the Scottish was double final points
wisecol- 07-28-2008
If The Scottish was Double points then over the weekend of Cowdenbeath/Birmigham/Crimond and Buxton Moodie has stretched his lead abit- Shame we dont no what the official points were going into the weekneds action.
Anyway:
Moodie 64pts Cowdie, 47pts Crimond= 111pts
Bradbury 31pts Birmingham, 31pts Buxton= 62pts
I did here a rumour over the weekend that Moodie will be going to belgium on 16th/17th August so im guessing he trying to build up a big enough lead so he can do this and obviously he will be missing on 23rd August for the F1 Kings Lynn Semi and later in September for the F1 World Final at Ipswich.
steve polley- 07-28-2008
the points chart is in the latest stock car magazine
up to and including july 22
886 = 1150
7 = 1146
wisecol- 07-28-2008
Thanks Steve

Moodie 1257pts
Bradbury 1212pts
Thanks to Steve for help.

Next Stop, Skegness Tuesday Night.
steve polley- 07-28-2008
i'm not sure the points in stock car do include the 22nd at skeg
i've checked daves points and his total is wrong by 11 points which is what he got at skegness
so i think the date is a misprint as it says in last months unloaded the period ends on the 20th
