Thanks for the results.

I've waited ages for this result!! Time for the kids to pay me back this time - YES!
Only wish I could have been there to see it. (@*-~$*@ reports!)
I've still to see 676 win since I've taken up watching the sport more seriously.in he last few years!
Well done Neil - I shall enjoy my Pint care of the kids pocket money!!
Hope to get back trackside for the next Taunton - hoping for a repeat performance in the final then!! biggrin.gif

Particualrly fitting for SuperHoops II to win the trophy of his dad's former mechanic's trophy, and nice to see that the lower graders aren't missed out. The Bat was back and right back on the pace, probably boyed by the fact that equally senoir Stu Smith (Snr) won the Champion of Champions race at Cov- easily!

So good drives from Paul Rice 990 who had the final in the bag until Murray Linfield jinxed him, and a particulaly non plussed Amy Rice... and Chris Rowe was awesome in the consi fighting away Kane Window Pane Moore

spikey167- 06-08-2008
And of course not forgetting the super fast Lusky, Timmy, Rootsy and Bumble who is now getting faster and faster!

Well Jez I guess as a school teacher you need some sort of release from all those pent up frustrations , there are some strange fetishes out there but a Nellie Hooper obsession might be one of the more unusual ones, although at least its legal, well probably. Think Naughty Nellie will be relieved that you have kids, or are you referring to a collective beer tax on all the kids you teach, if so might be a profession worth considering after all.
In fact so unused to final winning is Nellie that he didn't have the foggiest what he was supposed to do as the handicapper in the Grand national. When the starter waved the green flag he was having none of it backing the whites up into the rest of the pack. Either that or following the Turtles experience with the said starter and a waved /non waved yellow, perhaps Naughty had decided there was no way he was relying on any instructions from said start and was that waved green really green or held stationary. Either way well done Nellie Super Hooper, I guess you were sand bagging for the last couple of years waiting for this trophy to come up.

The Turtle showed Superstar pace and quality in the first heat , from an interesting starting position where he appears to take a long run up to the back of the reds.Sure its been thought through.
Fantastic to have the Master back again and it was like old service being resumed in heat 2 , you could just tell he was having it come hell or high water and there was no point Lusky getting in his way. So if its in the genes Bumble needs to stop shopping for his in Tescos at three quid a pair and go back to Levi 501's. For those of us who have been following Bumbles progress recently it is nothing if not frustrating he is truly as fast as anyone for a couple of laps when he can be arsed , but normally someone has to really rile him, like Naughty Nellie today. Whilst it is obvious the Turtle/Zimmer pedigree is a mighty shadow to come out from under , I predict that when he stops being the genuinely nice guy that he is off the track and starts finding that nasty sting that's necessary and passes me all the pies, great things might be around the corner, once cous gets bored with whooping his arse obviously.

It is a long tradition in my family, when on holiday in the South-West, to have a car to cheer on and a small bet. Can I help it if my kids get first choice and they pick 667 or 167! As a kid myself I often use to pick 800 or 686. So when I started taking my own kids to see the ftooz, it seemed only natural to pick 676. I can assure you 'Nellie' is not one of my fetishes (and I'm not prepared to discuss the others!). My membership name in this forum was again my kids idea - in hindsight, perhaps it was a bit weird! Especially as my knowledge of the sport has widened and I have come to realise there are many more drivers out there than those that just appear in Cornwall!

Just pulling your leg a wee bit Jez, I am sure Nellie is very grateful to have a fan who is not related or paid, your not paid are you ?
I don't think many would begrudge him a final win, he is one of those damage magnets like The flying fish and Professor Bumble who have an unhappy knack of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, if anyone's going to collect damage its them , yet they still keep coming back for more and I for one are very glad that they do.
So we can expect to see you in Pixie land soon then Jez.? Pity the qualifiers are probably going to be a bit early for you in term time. The taunton qualifier is normally one of the highlights of the year. Toytown under lights is awesome.
