That doesn't sit too good with me. People who aren't interested in chasing the world final should perhaps move aside for those who do. If anything it makes a mockery of the whole process. Perhaps when the season starts, drivers should declare whether they are chasing world championship points or not, and then those who have chosen to forsake it, can still race, but the points count towards national points. For instance, if the heat winner was an abstainer, the next place consenter would pick up the max WCQR points

Everyone is entitled to WCQR points, it would be no good declaring at the beginning of the season whether you are aiming to be in the world final or not. People change their minds on how much racing they do and what races they attend depending on how well their season is going/luck is going. If you are having a shocking time then your interest drops, you lose motivation, but if things are going well then you are going to want to be in the big races.
Smithy was out at Brum WCQR also i believe so thats 2 rounds he has defo done, would not suprise me if he shows up at the Skeg and Buxton rounds as the way he is going he could easily end up on the front 2 rows of a semi.

What driver(s?) aren't 'interested' in winning the World Championship? blink.gif

Depending on the outcome of Buxton the night before, it seems Neal is planning a trip to St Day for the qualifier on sunday aswell wink.gif

Joe you right, I doubt he is interested at the minute, but then again I am sure we could always get him an adapted car, could he not have hand controls. biggrin.gif

But on a similar subject I know of one particular driver who would really like to win the Europeans cool.gif

Thats right Sharon, did think of adapting the car to hand controls, but it would mean racing for average points and no prize money or tropheys! So decided against it in the end cos 3 points a meeting is not much use to my road to gold is it? laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
