That doesn't sit too good with me. People who aren't interested in chasing the world final should perhaps move aside for those who do. If anything it makes a mockery of the whole process. Perhaps when the season starts, drivers should declare whether they are chasing world championship points or not, and then those who have chosen to forsake it, can still race, but the points count towards national points. For instance, if the heat winner was an abstainer, the next place consenter would pick up the max WCQR points
