Does anyone know the circumference of Yokohama's on:
5.5" wide rims.
8" wide rims.
10" wide rims.

Dont know for sure but they are smaller. Have heard from an RTS driver that they pulled 8400 instead of 7900 at Arena essex when using the same gearing.

I would assume from this about 2 1/2 to 3 inches less. (71 inch approx)

Yoko on 8" wheel measures 73"
Slightly worn Avon on same wheel measures 75-1/2"

Does this mean we need an expensive 3.77 diff where we used to use 3.89?
Or run 5" wheels instead of 8"maybe?

Thank you trimal, it is good to see that someone has at last found a tape and measured the circumferance rather than just guessing about the size of the Yokohamas.

Is it true that this 73" will be the same on any width of rim because the softer sidewall will deform rather than the reinforced tread?

the 73" is for 8" rims only the wider the rims the smaller the circumferance

Can only afford one tyre and one rim at the moment

8x13 @ 20 psi = 72.5"

10x13 @ 20 psi = 72.5"

Id recalculate if I was you,

Just got a dirver with a set of Yoko's to measure them,

5 1/2" are 73"

8" are 72 3/4 "

So from that I would say they do stretch,

he did not have any 10" built up to check.

Can you tell us how thick the rubber is on the Yohamas?
What aill be the circumferance of a bald Yokohama?

TNF831 did your driver use a stagger guage or a tape measure and did he have the same pressure in both?

Do you mean the tread depth or how much rubber is on the carcass when the tyre is bald?

A very bald yokohama measures 71.5"
