Hullo...Anyone know if rack end shims can still be obtained and if so from where, or a suitable alternative. Thanx Steve.

Kev. I presume you mean the shims that adjust the brass plungers and not the pinion shims? if so In my opinion I would not waste too much time trying to shim the rack if it is for the F2 If you try to shim them as you would do for a road car then they usually end up very tight with the slightest hit. As you probably noticed that Darren removes the offside end where the rack shims would normally be on the wall side . again only my personal opinion but I have never bothered adjusting shims in fact I have seem me taking out the brass part completely. The advice I've also had before now is to just remove the pad and spring from each end of the rack.

if you remove the brass bits you could weigh them in and buy a spare rack laugh.gif

ive been told that that is the best thing to do for racing biggrin.gif
