Hi, does anyone know the location of the crank sensor on a 1992 300E 3.0L straight six 124 merc engine? Im having greif with mine and can only assume its the crank sensor due to the way its playing up.
Any help will be great.

You will prob find it at the front of the engine bump just where the crank sticks out of the big metal box thing covered in oil. lol :-)

2 hrs and 4 knuckles without skin later, i finally got the bas.....git out, what a game!!, but that was the easy bit, the hardest bit was trying to come to terms with the price of a new one..



£135.00+ this poxy labour goverments bit!!

I had to sit down for a wee while il tell you!!

But what i took out was the original part from new, so it aint done bad. If it was a ford, i think it would be on its 30th by now!!
