just a few words about lsd i think most of the top drivers are using lsd on tarmack using a lsd set up with the right torque will make your car easier todrive and stop the car pushing on so much on the corners even a second hand lsd with new plates is just as good hope this is some help rolleyes.gif

I'm not a mechanic but the basic idea is- if one wheel breaks traction power is tranferred to the opposite side

Stick with a lock diff darren, you know wot to expect with a lock diff, and with a lock diff, you wont be worring about if youve damaged it!!, they take too much time and effort to maintain mate. sad.gif

I've heard lsd works better on some tracks than others, more tighter tracks or dodgy cambers like barford etc when the weight is shifting quickly.
the plate type salisbury diff is meant to be a little smoother or throttle where the cog type quaiffe unit is either on power or off.
i know drivers who have tried to switch onto a slipper and couldn't get used to it and had t change their driving style. Guess its each to there own

I ran a locked diff for my first couple of seasons then bought a lsd and found the difference was unbelieveable, so much easier to drive and car control was far easier. Worth the extra cost. Peter lloyd rallting have a special price on them just now.

I found LSD better but you realy need more than one otherwise changing a diff is a 2+ hour job. I started with one to see how I got on with it and picked 2 more up second hand, one was only £250 with in a mint 3.5 diff. Dont think the fella knew what he was selling. LOL

If you use the right oil they dont need much maintanance.

If you can, try and borrow one for a practice before you buy - they are not everyones cup of tea.

you don,t really need two if you run a tran x if you put it on a 3.9 you can run another gear to put it up to 4.1 depending where you want to race so i have been told. I got one and it was the best thing i bought. biggrin.gif
