Keep an eye on ebay.co.uk, search for "brisca". Every now and again there is a book available for about £7 that goes through the basics, quite a good reference.
Start by measuring what you already have, that way you have a basis to work from, and return to if it all goes horribly wrong.

If you know Alan Bunter I am sure he will sell you that book directly.
