I've got a BIG pile of halfshafts, with worn out bearings, and a box full of bearings that will fit them, the only thing missing is a load of the retaining collars needed.

Does anyone know of a good source for these?

Why don't you just use the old ones?

When you press the old bearings off the retainer will come with it.
Tack weld the retainer on as requested in the rule book and you won't have any problems.

What is this "press" of which you speak? smile.gif

Usually cut into them with a grinder then split it with a chisel. And a lot of them already have been tacked into place, so chances are they'll be wrecked taking them off.

I *guess* ford could supply them, but I expect that to be the expensive way.

I used to tack them 180 degrees apart and grind them off for removal. Never lost one due to grinding etc cool.gif
