Hi all

I'm interested in getting started in F2.

Just wondered what typical meeting costs are. I know it depends on track, car etc but how much does it cost to book in per meeting and how much can i expect to pay for fuel etc.

Would agree with much of what nala says, however bear in mind you are unlikely to see any prize money for a while and when you do it will probably be a fiver!
Cost is what you make it. You can do your local track, with an old car for around £50 a meeting expenses plus damage. Or you can travel hundreds of miles and only do one race. There is no hard and fast rule.
We spend easily £200 per meeting on average, only doing shale and doing our own repairs. A set of tyres cost over £160 and last no time at all.
Ideally you need a lot of time and money, but if you are committed a bit of one and a lot of the other will suffice!
You can hire a car for around £250 to see if you like it, it sounds a lot of money, but better than spending £5,000 and deciding you don't.
