im no expert in gearboxes but wondered what advantages you gain by usinga tran-x compared with a standard box?

The straight cut teeth in a tran x supposedly give less drag through the box. Tran x box also has only a slight difference (about 500 revs worth i think) between 2nd and 3rd gears. Therefore the Tran x means you dont have to change diffs half as much when going to different tracks. Just either run in 2nd or 3rd.
