If true, then they best get it sorted up there for the Semi's in August.

Maybe they should take a look at the Spedeworth way of organisation. Good communication led by Deane Wood (ON THE CENTREGREEN EVERY RACE TO SPEED UP THE MEETING PROGRESS!!)

I went to Brum last night and was text several times from Cowdie about the organistion side of things!

Anyone heard of the 5 P's?!!!!!

How can you comment on things when your not there blink.gif

Cowdenbeath on Saturday night kind of made up my opinion to not bother attending the F2 semi's and go to Coventry instead. Huge credit to all the visitors who attended though.

what were the issues that upset everyone we were there racing and other than a couple of reds overtaking under yellows could not see too much wrong very efficent with the flags ,more concerning to me was the last laps in the final at Knockhill could not see through the smoke on the corner racing still at full speed and a cars every where, yet earlier in the meet they seem to flag for minor things

i'm guessing that most people were fed up with the long delays clearing the wreckage from the track with only 1 or 2 tractors thingys.

and the very long time it seemed to take to line up races and get people sorted out on track before and after races and after stoppages.

I was there, so I get to have my guess. wink.gif

Hiring in a couple of Manitou for the night would have made for more efficient clearing of the wreckage on Saturday night for sure and thereby would probably have allowed time to run at least one of the Grand National events but it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the event.

Have to agree though that it was a disgrace that the final at Knockhill wasn't yellow flagged when the smokescreen was laid at the hairpin in the closing laps. If you can't do donuts pre-race for health and safety reasons then why ask drivers to play Russian roulette going into a hairpin blind....it was unbelievable that it wasn't yellowed !! mad.gif

I checked the times for most of saturday night races at Cowdenbeath the gap between races was mostly between 6 & 9 minutes although the F1 scottish took about 1 hour 6 minutes from the start of the parade till the start of the F2 final Racewall is infamous for yellow flags but with the Wall pretty much on the racing line there is no choice but to yellow flag races when cars stop in the middle of the bends or on the straights, I think there must have hardly a race with less than two yellows . Car numbers were good with approx 52 F2's on saturday & 65 F2's on sunday. The semi final night only has the Saloons plus F2's hopefully that will be a good night.
