GN has just finished!
Moodie won it, and even got a trophy for it.
Most of the crowd had gone home by then.
Jesus Christ, what a long winded day.
Well done Mick, richly deserved. Shame that the celebrations had to be muted whilst the cars were weighed and scrutineered for the 100th time. I suppose it is a way of preventing a European Championship style null and void result but I am not sure which I prefer.

Was it long winded or did somebody just have Trapped wind meaning it went on so long......

Including me......and I live closer than many who were there today.
There is always a lot of extra organisation involved with running a World Final, with grand parades and grids etc but really the time taken to clear up incidents and accidents was inexcusable. Take the support car race - a multi car shunt and just one operable breakdown to move and tow the cars. And really I think the time of starting any big meeting at 2pm has come to pass. A whole hour earlier and whilst long and drawn out still, it would have finished at 6.45 rather than 7.45 and that makes a big difference.
The racing was good, especially the consolation and meeting Finak but when the whole show that it is wrapped in is poor then you dont come away feeling like you have been to a good meeting.
But well done to Mick Sworder - a fair and square win. He saw off a challenge from Chris Bradbury, and then a come back attack from Mark Simpson.

Ain't that the truth Acescribe!
THAT was the longest flipping meeting I have ever been to. I actually thought that PRI were taking the P out of Brisca by running the meeting that long! That could have been a meeting to look back on and say that it ran smoothly and the racing was fantatsic. Only the latter applied on Sunday!
It kind of made me wish I hadn't gone to Mildenhall last year to see the World Final, all the hype that RDC put into it made it go with a bang, Sunday didn't even pop or fizz really for me. There was some cracking action though.
I must say that the racing as awesome in the F2's & saloons.
That heritage machines were good to see also, but the organisation with recovery of damaged cars and getting grid onto the track was pants.
So glad there wasnt massive amount off cars to clear after each race with the pathetic transit recovery machines with hand winches or 5m chains wrapped 10 times around the bumpers.........
Well done to the 152 machine, well deserved..........
